‘Itsutsu no Mori’ (The Five Forests)- a relaxing space with delicious food, a hearth and a wood-burning stove.
Hello, Shizuoka TaaS. The New Year has come and gone and in the blink of an eye it is already late January.
At Shizuoka TaaS, we want to bring fun trips and experiences to as many people as possible.
We are thinking about it 24 ₋7. (It’s true.)
In the midst of all this, we had the opportunity to visit a place
Itsutsu no Mori(The Five Forests), an old private house restaurant in Shimizu-ku, Shizuoka City.
When you enter the entrance of Itsutsunomori, you are greeted by a wood-burning stove with flames,
You can feel the clean air and the warm, relaxing atmosphere.
You are taken through to the hearth room.
When you sit around the hearth and slowly grill vegetables, meat and fish over a charcoal fire
A friendly atmosphere is naturally created, feelings are relaxed and conversation is stimulated.
While you are talking, cute little bowls and plates are brought out one after another.
The restaurant features a wide variety of side dishes, which are not only tasty but also seem to be good for you.
The vegetables are not only delicious but also home-grown and pesticide-free.
Many different types are served in small portions in beautiful bowls, with a gentle flavour.
The last thing to be served was chiffon cake and coffee for dessert.
Everyone was surprised to see a very large cut of chiffon cake and a large cup of coffee being served.
The owner, Ms.Mori, said.
Chiffon cake can be eaten. You don’t drink a lot of coffee outside, do you?
She said with a big smile.
The warmth of an old house, delicious food with a touch of nature’s bounty and a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere,
Visitors to this place are sure to find healing and satisfaction.
The Itsutsu no Mori is the perfect spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, feel nature and take a breather.
For Japanese visitors, it is a place of nostalgia and relaxation,
For foreign visitors, it will be an exciting experience of Japan.
Why not spend a soothing moment in a place where you can enjoy the changing faces of the four seasons?
